The Story

KINEDIT was founded by Charlotte Hagoort, a photographer and creative producer with years of experience working across editorial, fashion, and production.

After years in fast-paced creative environments, Charlotte experienced a growing need for spaces that allow photographers to create with intention, and build sustainable careers without constant pressure. She believes there is no single path in this industry. Growth begins with mindset and awareness, understanding how the industry works, knowing your values, and discovering your strengths and passions.

Strong work alone is often not enough. Building a meaningful career also requires relationships, dedication, and the courage to step outside familiar patterns.
Growth asks for risk, but not blind impulsion. It asks for thoughtful decisions, patience, and the willingness to move beyond comfort zones with intention.

Charlotte herself moved from project to project without a clear sense of direction, chasing momentum without building something lasting. It was through finding space to reflect, and receive mentorship that things began to shift. She started to consider not only what kind of work she wanted to make, but what kind of life and legacy she wanted to build alongside it.

That experience shaped the foundation of KINEDIT. A belief that strong work, honest guidance, and meaningful connection should sit at the center of creative growth. It is not about quantity, but quality. Not about noise, but clarity. KINEDIT exists to bring the right people into the right spaces, opening thoughtful opportunities and supporting long-term, intentional growth.

Charlotte is deeply grateful for the team and everyone involved in bringing KINEDIT to life, and for the photographers who trusted the process and chose to be part of the retreats. Each person, each experience, and each shared moment has shaped what KINEDIT is becoming.

Seeing how the work evolves, how confidence grows, and how photographers step into clearer direction has been both humbling and motivating. The responses, the connections, and the growth that unfolds during and after the retreats continue to affirm the intention behind it all.

With that gratitude comes excitement for what’s ahead. For future retreats, new ideas, and for continuing to give KINEDIT shape and form as it grows, slowly and thoughtfully, alongside the people it is meant for.
